Hi, I’m Rachelle
Prior to entering the world of coaching, I was an entrepreneur and business owner for over 25 years in the meetings industry. I won many awards and received constant recognition for being a respected top producer in Destination Management. I also served over 14 years on the board of directors for ADMEI (Association for Destination Management Executives International), as well as President for a national consortium of DMCs. I also brought an under-performing Destination Management business from under $1m annual revenue to over $5m – in less than a year. I broke through all business plateaus set in front of me and loved what I did with a passion.
And yet, with all this professional success, I still managed to hit a level of burnout that was completely unexpected and unacceptable to me – I knew then there had to be a different way. A way to continue to achieve all that I wanted professionally while bringing unprecedented balance into my life; and the result is R Stone Consulting.
I like to boast that I have now created the life I always wanted to live; and built a career I am passionate about around it. I have my passion back, my stress is minimal and I have cracked the code on work/life balance for leaders at the highest level of achievement.

How do we relate?
No one wants to work with a coach they can’t relate to! Here are some fun facts about me. If you can relate, send a message, and let’s see if we have the chemistry to work together.
- I’m slowing down in my 50’s. While I used to love kickboxing and HIIT, it’s now Pilates and LIIT for me. And I’m ok with this.
- My go-to, self-care, tank-filling activity is shelling! I will plan this a month in advance to ensure my schedule is open on a good low-tide day to explore the shoreline and what the ocean has gifted the shore that day.
- I majored in fun & games in college. Yes, that is a major and it is called Recreation & Leisure Studies.
- I earned my Mouster’s Degree from Disney University in 1989. Yes, that is a thing. I was fortunate to be selected for the Disney College Program when I was trying to ‘figure it out’ as a 21-year-old. It was the absolute best hospitality and social skills training I have ever had in my life. I still use these life skills every single day.
- I love to cook. This is from the gal who used to toss pasta at the ceiling because her mother said, ‘if it sticks to the ceiling it is done!’. Needless to say, I no longer throw pasta at my ceiling.
- My Anthem/shower / driving alone in the car song is “Turn the Page” by Bob Seger. You do not want to be in the car with me when this song comes on. Or in the shower. Just saying.
- My B-HAG (Big, Hairy, Audacious Goal) is to retire overseas. I’m working on it!
- In 1979, I won third place in a state-wide USFSA figure skating competition. I was 11 years old.
- I was an avid 4-H’er growing up. Entering pumpkins and crafts at the county fair to attending summer camp.
- I went to a 4-H summer camp from the ages of 7 19, transitioning over the years from camper to counselor. I LOOOOOOVED Summer Camp!
- I grew up in western MA, in a fairly rural town. Our idea of fun growing up was cow tipping and keg parties.
- I went to a regional technical training school for high school and majored in Carpentry. I was one of just 4 girls in this shop back then, and we were involved in building three homes in the area. I remember just enough to remain dangerous around power tools.
- I was both my senior class president and voted most likely to succeed.
- Since 2014, I have enjoyed serving the state of Florida as a volunteer and board member with Compassionate Pug Rescue, an all-pug rescue based in Miami. I have re-homed 26 pugs over the years, and finally had my first ‘foster fail’ with my current pug, Max (he is Frank’s distant nephew from Men in Black)
- Did you order from Chewy.com over the last few years? I have one adult son, who works full-time in customer service for Chewy.com. I LOVE that my son shares my passion for animals.
- Before my own experience with Burnout, I was on 19 medications, 25lbs overweight, couldn’t touch my toes, and thought Diet was a dirty word. My how I have changed!
